Paint the Town – Bright Lights, Big City Painting Party

Paint the Town for August will be offering participants the chance to paint a van Gogh-style starry night scene titled “Bright Lights, Big City”. We are offering the social painting workshops every month to bring friends together at various interesting locations throughout the community to paint and have fun in a social setting.  During the workshop SICA teaching artists help participants paint a complete picture on a 16”x20” canvas. No artistic experience or talent is required.  The contemporary painting this month includes a city skyline against a swirling night sky reminiscent of van Gogh’s famous painting, Starry Night. The Paint the Town workshop will be Sunday, August 12, from 1 pm to 4 pm at Chateau de Pique Winery in Seymour, Indiana. The participation fee is $30 and there is a 20% discount for SICA members.  All materials are supplied. Chateau de Pique Winery is located at 6361 N County Road 760 E south of E. Reddington Street. While there, participants may taste wines and food and drinks will be available for purchase.
