Starting at 4 pm the reception is free and open to the public. Brackney’s mixed-media exhibit includes paper marbling and found object figurines.
At 6 pm the BeatlesFest will kick-off with children creating a Yellow Submarine assisted by SICA teaching artist Kay Fox.
Also scheduled is a Kids Singing the Beatles Contest, and the Troy Hubbard Beatles Memorabilia Show. All pre-concert activities are free and open to the public. Saturday’s concert begins at 7:30 pm.
“Saturday is going to be a great day to bring the whole family out to SICA to picnic and enjoy lots of good music and art,” said SICA Executive Director Warren Baumgart Jr.
Various community groups will be conducting fundraising activities throughout the Bustock festival.
Jackson County Special Olympics and Red Sky Rescue will be selling food, the Boys & Girls Club of Seymour will announce their raffle winners, the SICA Minutes to Memories Garden fund will give away a guitar signed by John Mellencamp, and a Cornhole Tournament will support the Seymour High School Cheerleaders.
Bustock is produced by Radio 96.3 WJAA and is an all-ages family-friendly event. All festival activities are outside and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Outside food and drink is permitted.
The Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday rain location is the Seymour VFW.
