Paint The Town Event at Wine & Brews Festival

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Paint the Town event for June will partner with the Southern Indiana Festival of Wine and Brews for a special day of painting with friends while enjoying all of the attractions of the beer and wine tasting festival.

On Saturday, June 16Paint the Town will gather at the wine and brew festival to paint an original piece of art on a 16”x20” canvas with acrylic paint.

The artwork, called “Blues and Metallic Hues”, features the outline of a trumpeter whose horn is bursting with bright, loud colors in a modern style suggesting the work of Peter Max.

Participants will be coached by two SICA teaching artists.  No artistic experience or talent is required.  SICA offers the social painting workshops every month to bring friends together at various interesting locations throughout the community to paint and have fun with friends.

Admission will include tasting samples from regional wineries and craft beer distributors, a souvenir tasting glass, live music by Public Option, and everything they need to create the painting.

The festival will also offer an art market and food will be available for purchase.

This years festival is on the SICA grounds at 2001 N. Ewing St. in the Rockford area north of Seymour, Indiana.

The tasting festival begins at 2 pm and Paint the Town will gather on the site to begin painting at 3:30 pm.

Advanced registration is required.
