The theme Night at the Museum will include activities parents and children can do together based on masterpieces of art that come alive in an art museum at night.
Starting at 6pm, the evening will kick-off with an Art Hunt. Teams of participants will search throughout the SICA buildings and property for great pieces of art that will come to life before their eyes. At each stop teams will have puzzles to answer or riddles to solve. Following the Art Hunt there will be a cookout and a campfire. Finally the event will end with a visit from the legendary Reno Brothers.
“We are planning a memorable experience for all ages,” says SICA board member Stephanie Mysak.
The admission fee is $10 per family which includes the cookout food and drinks. Registration is required and enrollment is limited so advanced registration is encouraged.
To make your reservation call SICA at 812-522-2278 or email email@example.com. You may also register at the Center Tuesday through Friday, noon to 5 pm and Saturday 11 am to 3 pm. SICA is located at 2001 Ewing St., in Seymour, Indiana.
“This will be our second ARTventure event,” says Warren Baumgart, SICA executive director. “The first one last summer was a big success and many of our members have asked us for more of them.” Night at the Museum will be using local actors to bring the ARTventure to life.
“We’ve teamed up with some wonderful actors from the Jackson County Community Theater,” says Heather Hill, SICA teaching artist and the event organizer. “They are definitely going to make all of the characters interesting and fun throughout the evening.”
